In response to BTS’ 2020 world tour that was put on hold, Kiswe and management company Big Hit Entertainment teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind virtual performance so that fans could still witness live shows from home. On June 14, BTS’ global fan base known as the ARMY convened online to enjoy a special concert known as BANG BANG CON: The Live. Not only did the 90-minute concert take place live in Seoul, but fans around the world could interact with others via chat and show their support by synching their light sticks to emulate the participation during an in-person show.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the concert achieved a new title with most viewers for a music concert live stream. With over 756,000 fans from over 100 countries watching in unison, the event showcased the power of the ARMY as they watched from six different multi-cam views streamed through Kiswe’s cloud-based platform. Additionally, the experience proved that virtual concerts--especially in today’s challenging times--can continue to give fans a worthwhile and engaging experience when provided with the right tools.
