Times Square Alliance Leverages Kiswe’s Interactive Video Technology to Bring The Times Square New Year’s Eve Concert to Nearly Half a Million Viewers Worldwide.

New York – January 5, 2023 – Kiswe and Times Square Alliance have partnered for the second year in a row to bring the magic of the Times Square New Year’s Eve concert event to more than 462,000 fans around the world.

Times Square Alliance deployed a Kiswe widget on their website to bring the New Year’s Eve Time Square festivities to people across the world. Through the New Year’s Eve widget Presented by NetSpend, more than 18,000 people spending New Year’s Eve at home uploaded videos of their special moments and were featured on the Times Square New Year’s Eve webcast, compared to 10,000 people last year. 

The video was broadcasted to 168 countries with nearly 650,000 cheers and interactions from those tuning in. 

The ceremony began at 6pm on New Year’s Eve and built in excitement with hourly countdowns leading to the iconic Ball Drop when the Mayor of the City of New York, Eric Adams pushed the Waterford Crystal button that signals the descent of the New Year’s Eve Ball and led the 60 second countdown to midnight.

“The audience turnout and engagement we saw is further proof that the appetite for virtual events has only grown, even after many COVID-restrictions have been lifted,” says Glenn Booth, CEO of Kiswe. “We are excited to continue to work with Times Square Alliance to bring the thrill of their New Year’s Eve celebration to people around the world and are hopeful that next year we will continue to see another 80 percent increase in video submissions.”
