Description

Reporting to the Controller the Senior Staff Accountant will have an integral role in supporting the Finance Team for Kiswe. The Senior Staff Accountant will primarily assist in the Month-End G/L Close process relating to expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses and cash. This will include but not be limited to, recording journal entries, preparing monthly P&L expense analysis, posting daily and weekly cash activity, accounts payable analysis for accruals, driving and implementing system and process improvements, and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reconciliation
  • Manage AR and Invoicing Processes
  • Manage AP and Treasury Processes
  • Review client contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to support financial close and reporting requirements
  • Analyze financial information and provide variance explanations
  • Recommend revenue enhancement and cost controls
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial package
  • Coordinate the filing of sales tax returns and VAT tax returns
  • Assist with financial audit 
  • Share responsibility in maintaining a proper internal control environment
  • Provide support to Controller in various ad hoc responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in Accounting
  • 3-5 years’ experience in public accounting preferred (will consider private experience for the right candidate)
  • Strong accounting skills and relevant experience a must
  • Ability to prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to document processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • CPA/CPA track preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP revenue recognition accounting standards
  • Advanced excel skills
  •  Hands on experience with Accounting Software i.e. QB, NetSuite, etc.
