The Systems Test Engineer at Kiswe Mobile Inc. is responsible for ensuring the organization delivers the highest quality software and applications to business partners and customers. The System Test Engineer will develop, document, and execute primarily automated tests to ensure the delivery of quality software products. 

This position will collaborate with software engineers, operations partners, and product management personnel in an Agile Scrum setup, to support quality delivery. The System Test Engineer Role requires strong technical and communication skills along with a customer-centric point of view. The ability to work closely with stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable products is critical to your success in this role.

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product and development leadership to identify needed test cases
  • Develop test automation to ensure reliable software delivery. Perform manual testing where needed
  • Capture and analyze reports from end users and work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Track status of open issues and communicate with broader team to ensure high quality software release

Desirable Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who have some combination of frontend and backend test skills, together with the right overall background and mindset for software testing

  • Frontend
  • Experience using web test automation tools including Jest, Cypress, Selenium
  • Familiarity with Javascript (esp Vue), DOM elements, and CSS.  Ability to debug issues using JS console
  • Experience with cloud-based device testing services are a plus
  • Backend
  • Experience doing large-scale testing of APIs and backend services using tools such as JMeter or Gatling
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS and Google Firebase), launching machines for test environments, using monitoring services such as CloudWatch, Sentry, Logz, etc
  • Knowledge of Python and Linux system administration skills are considered a plus
  • Overall
  • Ability to understand incoming bug reports and find ways to reproduce tricky issues
  • Experience with Git
  • Strong attention to detail.  Ability to manage statuses of multiple issues using reporting tools such as Monday or Jira
  • Experience with writing test cases in tools like Qase, Testrail,...
  • Experience deploying tests in CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins or Github Actions are considered a strong plus
  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Willingness to adapt and evolve to technology changes
